  • In december my contract with SO energy expired, i foolishly ticked the box renew, and was told i had 14 days cooling off period. I found another deal and told them i was leaving (within the 14 days). They are now using as debt collector (CRS) to obtain £100 less the amount they owe me. What are my rights??

    Welcome to the forum.
    Much more info needed.
Did the switch go through?  Did you send the new supplier an opening meter reading?  Was this the same as the closing reading on the final SO Energy bill?  Did you pay the final bill?  Did you cancel your DD with SO Energy?

What are they claiming the £100 is for?
Is it eg. early termination fees for your new SO Energy fix, or is it for energy you used prior to switching?
As Gerry1 says above, have you successfully switched? Is your new supplier billing you? Did SO send you a final bill, and have you paid it?

Can you give exact dates please. When you clicked "renew", what date was on the note that say you had a 14 day cooling off period, what date you terminated the contract (and how) etc.

SO energy appear to finally accepted that i cancelled the contract within the 14 day cooling off period, as they have cancelled " the arrears, however they make no mention of the £12+ that they owe me.  NOT an easy company to
deal with, I would certainly never recommend them
