Honestly..... This is a very free world people, businesses advertise, customers decide to take part or not! Decisions can not be made for yourself - you eat junk food or you don't, simple as that. I honestly can not see anything wrong in BOGOF campaign from anyone, including Mc D. Main question is: when did you last see any health food advertised at 1/2 price?!? Yes! And look at this short example: why do we still get charged VAT on (healthly) fruit juice at the same time when everyone is trying to make us eat healthy food? http://www.innocentdrinks.co.uk/our_drinks/petition/

lol while i agree with you, in your link Innocent are clearly hoping to maximise profits, more than anything! ;)

When I've used the BOGOFs before on the Big Macs/Whoppers, I usually get the vege/bean-burger as the "free" burger. They usually don't mind cos the price of the vege/bean-burger is less than the price of a whopper/big mac, so they're not giving you a pricier product for free.
Just ask, there's no harm. They usually do oblige. My wife is a vegetarian, so if they want my custom/money, they have to oblige.

Why's it been promoted? Simple... they're probably the two most visited food outlets in the country - this saves people money when they go there.

Excellent - no doubt Martin will be equally keen to promote the likes of Barclays and HSBC when the opportunity arise, since they are two of the most visited banks in the country...

Thanks symash, and I think everyone on the thread who has made rude comments about McD workers should apologise.

I for one had NO idea whatsoever that staff were also required to personally produce the contents of the burgers whilst on shift!

If there was a good money saving angle to their product, he probably would... :rolleyes2
