DCBL bailiffs letter

Hi
i Ian just looking for advice as I have received the attached letter saying “final reminder” unpaid parking charge from April 2024.
i have no idea what this charge is for as I did not have a ticket issued on my car and this is the first thing I’ve heard of this parking charge.
i don’t recall parking at this location and seeing as I have changed jobs, I can’t tell if I was in The area on this day. I will however go and visit the site to see what signage etc is in place.
I have a perfect credit score so as you can imagine, this letter has put the fear or god in me as I certainly can’t afford to go to court over this matter.
any advice would greatly be appreciated as due to the notification of this fine coming 9 months after the alledged offence, can’t even appeal it.

If it is from DCB Ltd, then it is a letter from a powerless debt collector and can safely be ignored.
Which PPC issued the original parking charge notice?
Do not ignore a letter of/before claim from their or a solicitors which may be DCB Legal Ltd.
Plan A is always a complaint from the vehicle keeper to the landowner and the keeper's MP. Other than that you are in ignore mode unless you get a latter of claim or court claim. Come back to this thread if that happens.
If you move home, or have moved since the date of the alleged event, you should instruct the DPO of the PPC to erase your old data and replace it with your current address for service.

Your credit score is not at risk if you follow advice as above and going forward and you shouldn't fear court IF it were to get that far.
Read NEWBIES thread Announcement 4th post and COURT CLAIM DISCONTINUATIONShttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6377263/dcb-legal-record-of-private-parking-court-claim-discontinuations#latest
PPCs can only ask DVLA for keeper details once Debt Agencies need to do a credit trace to find your current address.3 -
Thank you both and I will read the articles attached. I am frustrated as this is the first I have heard of this parking charge and can’t understand why it’s taken them 9 months to notify me.It is Euro car parks limited who are named in the letter that I have received.
i suppose I didn’t want it to end up in a court summons because I have ignored the letter.
will read the additional information that you have sent through and thanks again.1 -
They will have sent you letters. Double check the address they have used tallies with your V5 document.
It's a Euro Car Parks single ticket case though, so they'll make you go through the court process until they discontinue. They always do.
A court claim is only doing some paperwork. It'll never get near an actual hearing.
Come back when you have your DCB Legal "Letter Before Claim".
By the way bailiffs are not the same as debt collectors. DCBL do do some bailiff work ie. chasing some debts over £600, but they have their powerless debt collectors hat on for parking tickets.2 -

Why not just read some DCB Legal Euro Car Parks claim defence threads to see how easy it will be to see it off when the useless claim form arrives? You actually WANT a claim.
But if I'm right about the V5C address, sort it out now online! And reply to DCB telling them to erase the old address immediately of course, as shown in the second post of the NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
