Restriction on title deeds

Options
Hi, I’m new to the forum so please excuse any errors.
My question concerns a restriction on the title deeds of my house.
About 15 years ago I was  made redundant at the age of 59 and couldn’t find another job. I was forced to take out an Iva to pay off all my creditors which failed because the payments were unmanageable on unemployment benefit.
The Iva company put a restriction on my title deeds which is still there I need to get this removed as I want to get equity release to pay off my remaining mortgage balance.
I have contacted the the Iva company that applied the restriction but they can’t seem to find the documents involved so i can’t get them to remove it. I’m stuck in no man’s land don’t know what to do can anyone help at all thanks.

Our Practice Guide provides guidance on how such entries might be removed - Personal insolvency (PG34) - GOV.UK
Section 3 refers to specific scenarios so you'll need to match your circumstance as appropriate or follow that up with the IVA company as appropriate
If you've contacted us direct with more specific details then please wait for the reply
