Apoca debt recovery Recived but not PCN

Hi, I recently received a letter from Debt Recovery Plus regarding a drop-off at Luton Airport that I forgot to pay. The letter states that I owe £165 for ignoring the PCN, which I never received.

I have already filed a complaint with Apcoa and just received an email requesting the PCN reference number for their investigation. I obtained the PCN reference number from the debt recovery letter. Should I send that to them, or is this a potential scam?

I am willing to pay for the PCN since I may have overlooked the drop-off payment, but I do not intend to pay Debt Recovery Plus, especially since I never received the original PCN. This situation feels unjust. What can I do?
Thank you in advance

Do not reveal who was driving,  not to Apcoa, not to anyone  ( no keeper liability   )

You could use the pcn reference from the DRPL letter to Apcoa,  for clarity

Ignore the powerless debt collectors letters,  especially dcbl, nothing will happen

Check that your V5c log book is correct and up to date with the correct address for the service of papers,  that is the usual reason for missing paperwork

    You can ignore Apcoa too

The lack of PCN is likely to be due to your logbook not having your current address on it.

Try a complaint to APCOA, quoting the BPA Code (Oct 2024) where it says a PCN must be reissued, where the motorist did not receive the PCN to appeal.

If that fails, NO PAYING. You can safely completely ignore APCOA and Debt Recovery Plus. All the time this greedy industry remans unregulated, there's no point engaging at DRA stage.

See the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread where this is already covered.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just remember... don't tell 'em your name Pike!

Best way to throw away a "golden ticket" is to blab the drivers identity when there in no reason to do so.
