Hi,
My wife is being made redundant next month, we’ve known for a while so no shock.
My wife is being made redundant next month, we’ve known for a while so no shock.
She has a 16 hour contract, but in the 12 weeks prior herself and the other employee have been working 24 hours.
In the redundancy calcs this is being used to work out the redundancy pay.
During their notice they are only working 16 hours as this is all thats available in the store they have to work in .
Their query is , should their notice pay be based on the 12 weeks prior as well. I.e should they be paid the 24 hours whether they work it or not. Thanks

Thanks, but is the notice period we are wondering if the hours are protected at 24 hours. Employer can offer the 24 hours so they are reverting back to the 16 in their contracts.0
