Rebel Energy Outstanding Balance Email
Today i received an email out of the blue from Rebel Energy regarding balance owed on an account.
Brief background
Moved into HA flat (Scotland) late June 2023 - Rebel Energy were the deemed supplier and quickly gave them opening Electric/Gas meter readings (bit of a hassle to contact them took a couple of days)
Immediately started the switching process and moved to BG in July 2023 but i am not sure i received a final bill from RE and cannot remember paying one (memory is poor) - don't think i did but cannot be sure.
Searched bank statement but cannot find anything.
I will contact them and request a bill as not one attached to email - it is not a huge amount less than £30 and happy to pay if i owe them.
I have had no contact from them in 19 months either by letter or email until today - does the back billing rule apply ?
Any help or advice appreciated

In principle I think yes, you should qualify for application of the back billing restriction.N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill member.
