HT400 Form

I sent the HT400 and associated forms off 3 weeks ago. I haven't heard anything and I understand that once 4 weeks is up I can apply for probate. I used 1st class signed for but it is still saying it has been received by the post office but not signed for by the receiver. I haven't used the service before. Does it usually take this long or do you think it is lost? I do hope it is not lost, it look me hours to print all the forms out, 10 in total!

I sent the IHT forms to HMRC 2nd January and received acknowledgement and IHT calculations on the 28th January to give you some idea of time frame. Hopefully you shouldn't be far off
I'd certainly ring the IHT helpline and check whether they have received them. Both times I did this they were pretty helpful and knowledgeable. If something has gone wrong, then you will be at the back of the queue again..0 -
