Hi
I'm with Tomato for my electricity and my fixed deal ends in April. Done the comparison and want to switch to their new fixed tariff do I wait until April or will that that tariff have become more expensive by then ? Asked these questions to tomato but they can't answer me
Also there is another tariff, lifestyle by name that has better prices but I can't get this as I have no smart meter and tomato can't provide me with one yet. Is there a way to get smart meter another way ?

You'd need to check if there are any exit fees for your current tariff - you can switch up to 49 days before the end date without incurring fees. Otherwise many suppliers will waive exit fees if you switch to another fix with them, but you'd want to confirm that with Tomato first. For the quote you have, it might say how long it is valid for, but otherwise I highly suspect it won't be around come April. You probably want to jump on it sooner rather than later if you can.

As for the smart meter, you could switch to another provider, get a smart meter installed, and then switch back to Tomato? No guarantee it would be any faster though.
