Fix a dent before selling?

I have a 2015 Mini 🚗 in a great condition that I have been thinking to sell / trade in and get a newer car. Well, great condition, except for one bit - a few weeks ago I swiped a low wooden fence with passenger door and it now has a foot sized dent, with a small bit of paint chipped off. I've looked at getting it fixed and was quoted £725.

From googling, the value of the car is about 6k and I am debating whether to get the door fixed?

One thing you could do is get a quote from one of the Smart repair outfits - there's a good chance they could repair it for a lot less than £725.

Sell or trade in?  If you're trading it in then it probably won't matter all that much - the dealer will repair it for a lot less than you'd be charged.  If you're selling it privately then it may be worth getting it fixed, especially if you can get it sorted for not too much.
