    Yes, the new positioning works!
I'll install the TRVs this summer. The TR212 s have been sitting idly for months.

Good stuff, and thanks for the update.
    What's TR212?
If there are TRVs in the sitting room - where the Hive now is - don't forget to open them to max, or slacken/remove the heads, and ensure folk know to not control the room temp by them.
Is there a TRV in the old location? If so, set it to whatever you want your hall to be - between 2 and 3, I guess. If there isn't, then just monitor the temp in there, when the Hive gets the sitting room, and house, to the required temp. If the hall feels a tad too warm, close down the valve a quarter turn and monitor. And vice versa.

TR212 are the Drayton TRVs that I bought.
Neither the old nor the new locations have TRVs yet. I'll follow your guidance when I install them.
    Thanks

    Ah, I see.
    You doing this yourself? Cooool.
If you don't already have one, worth fitting a magnetic filter on the boiler return whilst the system is drained down.

And don't forget to add a bottle of corrosion inhibitor when you refill the system.
