eyelet curtains quoted length

Hi - looking to get some ready made eyelet curtains from Dunelm - does anyone know if the quoted drop ie 228 in this case, includes the extra material above the rings or is this extra length  - ie  if I put them on a curtain pole 229 above the floor will they be about right? (or do I need to put the pole at a different height??)

Don't Dunelm have a measuring guide on their website? Anyway, the last time I bought eyelet curtains the quoted drop was the full length of the curtain including the bit above the pole. So your pole would be too high, or your curtains too short!
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

Dunelm say to measure from the top of the pole to the floor  and add a centimetre for clearance. I was assuming that it would be the whole length of the curtains including the bit above the rings  as you found. feels like there might be too much of a gap if it is what Dunelm is quoting

Might have to get the curtains and measure them first

I just bought some dunelm curtains - they're listed as a 137 drop, 140cm total length with approx 4cm above the pole according to my quick measurements, so the guide seems correct.

thanks - sounds like they might be adding a bit more to make the measuring easy

I have always made my curtains before but wanted the eyelet ones and they look a bit fiddly so thought I would get them ready made

I bought door curtain from them and did it the other way round. I bought the curtain first and then put the pole at the right height for the curtain.
