Boohoo return missing items

Hi all. 

I’ve been using boohoo for years with no problems. I ordered 8 items recently. I kept 1 and returned the rest. I have had an email for a refund but 2 items are missing from it. They said they are going to check cctv but after reading some other stories it doesn’t look likely.
I returned via royal mail so have parcel weight and made the purchase through klarna. 

What are my next steps if they claim the items are not seen on cctv? Thanks

Letter before action asking for the refund then small claims court if they don't pay.
