Hi there,
I bought a second hand car from a car dealership which I found on auto trader. I've had the car a week and there are several issues. 1st problem, the clutch is slipping and sometimes it's difficult to get into gear. 2nd problem, a rear wheel bearing is very noisy, 3rd problem, the tyre pressure monitor keeps coming up with an error.
I phoned up the dealership and he told me that how does he know that the clutch is not my fault and that he won't warranty that, he then said that he would pay half for it, I told him that I'm not buying a car and then pay half for a clutch.
I am led to believe that I can refuse the car as it's only been a week, is this true?

Secondhand goods are no different from brand new goods other than you should expect it to be in a condition appropriate for its age/mileage etc2 -
Do you have home insurance? If so, check to see if you have legal expenses cover. If you do, call the legal helpline provided by your insurer for help to reject this car.The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0

Did you buy it on finance?0

Some car details would help.
As you are subject to expect it to be in a condition appropriate for its age/mileage etcLife in the slow lane1 -

How old is the car?
What is the condition of the car?
How many miles?
What service history does the car have?
What was the price paid for the car?
How did you pay for the car?
Did you see the car before purchase and test drive?0
