So for the debts you need something showing balance, reference and creditor, for each

For income, something showing what has been coming in over the past 3 months.

For expenditure, something showing the major items

If you have a car, as long as you know the reg number, the adviser can get a valuation.

And remember, you cannot have more than £75 disposable income (not including any current debt repayments).

So whatever you spend money on, not including the debts, you must be left with £75 or less, in your budget, or you won`t be accepted.

If you stop paying them, you will normally get a contact pretty quickly about it. Only smi joking, this will work if you cant find old emails, texts or letters about them. Or your DRO adviser can write to the creditor, they will be used to sorting this sort of problem out.
Debts that can easily be forgotten include any council tax debts for previous years and parking tickets.
If you turn up with bank statements and a credit report you will be better organised than the majority of clients!

Had a chat with CAB today and they said I'm in a deficit, so 2 options they suggested were a DRO or Bankruptcy, the only issue is I've got a car on HP that has over 3 years to pay and it's worth 7k so above the limit of 4k, I did say a family member would take over payment of it, but it's the value that's the issue apparently, not sure how to move forward now

How large are the HP payments, if the family member paid these, would you still be under the £75 a month limit for a DRO?
Is the car essential, how much would it cost to get to work on public transport?

£284, I would still be under the £75 limit, I work nights and finish at silly times so no public transport when i finish, a bus to work would be ok but a taxi home 4 times a week would cost a fortune
