Not long purchased new home and have just found this in a raised flower bed near the patio. Does anyone know what it is or why it might be there?

Vent for a septic tank ? Is there a manhole cover nearby ?Interesting - could just be decorative as it is a chimney pot topper.

It's a chimney cowl. Looks like it's been put in there for decoration.2

Probably put there to provide a habitat for wildlife, bug hotel type of thing.0
