Okay. Thanks for the advice but the situation of the one you mentioned was not the same situation as mine. Appreciated your assistance but as I'm not legal expert all I can do is be honest rather than trying to throw legal arguments at them and if that means I have to pay up then so be it.

That (you are not a legal expert) is why @Coupon-mad wrote the defence template so that all you have to do is write/edit your paragraphs 2 & 3

I wish I had paid this originally as I'll be honest I don't know what to trust. As I'll be honest I can't see how the post by coupon-mad applies to my situation.

Tell us which parts of the Template Defence you are struggling to apply to your case?

Honestly, it's tried and tested and all applies to all cases. But which bits do you think don't apply?

If I was to send a defence would I need to include a copy of the parking booking I had made as an attachment?

    Definitely not

Just follow the advice by coupon mad,  your "situation and evidence " are irrelevant at this early defence stage

Your witness statement plus Exhibits bundle that you submit to your local civil court and to the lawyers as well,  in several months time,  is about the details etc, not at this moment in time

Stick to the informed advice you clearly asked for,  as was given to you for free by coupon mad

Not that I want to seem unappreciative but I don't include anything relating to what actually happened with the parking and that I actually did pay for parking? Is that right?

Correct,  save the stories for later

This stage is where your defence is against the details on the claim form,  because no pcn was ever issued to you on the date in the POC, the what happened was on a different date entirely

No pcn was issued to you on the 28th August 2024

If I stated that you had fish and chips for dinner last Friday and it was actually the previous Saturday,  you would say no I didn't  !  No need to show anything further
