UKPC - Parking with obscured disabled badge in Free car park need help with N180 small claims track

Hello,

I’ve only just started using this site and may have misunderstood how to handle things up until now. I’m seeking advice regarding a parking dispute with UKPC.

I used a free retail park car park early one morning for about 50 minutes. The car park was empty, and I displayed my Blue Badge. However, UKPC claims the badge was obscured and couldn’t be fully read. I initially ignored their correspondence, assuming they wouldn’t pursue the matter further as no loss was incurred they could see I had a badge.

Unfortunately, they’ve taken the case all the way, and I now need to complete the N180 form. I realise I should have sought advice sooner and would appreciate any guidance on how to proceed from here, especially with this form.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Study the 2 links in the second post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum to see how to fill it in, also study the 12 steps in the defence template thread too

Presumably DCB Legal are involved,  so email a copy to them as well as to the DQ email address at the CNBC in Northampton

As you have progresses this far (N180) can we assume you had a N1SDT claim form, submitted the AoS and then a defence?  Did you use our template defence?
  • Yes submitted the AOS and defence but not from here, just found this today re the n180. I can't find the sticky thread relating to the 12 steps. I am very dyslexic so get a little lost on this

The defence template thread with the 12 steps is at number 1 on this forum, first thread in announcements below the yellow banners,  near where you started this thread

Below it is the newbies sticky thread,  in second place,  scroll to post 2 and read the N180 section,  with 2 links, explaining how to fill in the N180

I very much doubt that they would be daft enough to take this to hearing in  court, especially if you murmur disability discrimination.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • So just follow it all the way ?D_P_Dance said:

    Only the newer questions.

It's a very straightforward form so template words are really only needed for question D1.  I've removed the ancient link to bargepole's thread.

Presumably you received an N279 NoD document from DCB Legal   ?   ( on behalf of UKPC  )  Please post a redacted picture of the N279 document so your success can be added to the discontinuations thread by Umkomaas

Also, please fill in the current government public survey consultation and try to get change , regulation,  by the MHCLG,  with a mandatory code of practice and a fairer system

Coupon-mad has posted a thread about it,  it ends next week  !

    Oooh congrats!

    ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!

Please can you do two things?

    1.  If this was DCB Legal please show a screenshot of the NoD they attached to their email, so Umkomaas can count your success!

    2.  FIGHTBACK ALERT: Please do the government's Public Consultation. We need every poster to complete this vital survey before the deadline.

    See this thread:

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that. It doesn't matter; no knowledge is needed except re your own experiences so you can call out a scam industry and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.

I've written some guidance to help focus new posters on the issues. I've covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.

Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam 15 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.

    CLOSES ON FRIDAY 26th SEPTEMBER.
