Charge from 2022 on 2025 bill? E.on Next

Hi, today I received a bill for January which had charges from 2022 included. These charges were reversed, however it seems very odd. Are E.on trying to manipulate their 2022 figures somehow? Has anyone else had this?

It appears eon next are having a rebilling clean up exercise for current and old customers from 2022 to date.

For one of your properties which we were an eon next customer until 2023 we have just had a final bill sent through which says they are sending us a refund of £200.09p.

I will keep it safe as we are meticulous with bills and they appear to have got this wrong.

Hi,

I have had trouble with my Eon account since moving in 2022. I have now had the same issue and they have sent me bills this year full of reverse charges, they have provided amended bills from 2022 that is approximately £1000 more than it was.

I was in credit in my account so they took the money, can they do this or can the back billing rule be applied?

Eon tells me the back billing rule does not apply if there is credit to take?!

All if this is due to the fault of eon as there was an erroneous transfer when we moved in.

I would really appreciate some advice.

I'm afraid this is true! If it was Eon's error perhaps you can shame them into giving you a small amount of compensation?
