Morning everyone
I had a nice lazy afternoon reading yesterday and also sorted some photos and ordered prints, which I hadn't done since this time last year. DD took little one to the cinema at Edinburgh, she rang on their way home so I could talk to her and stop her falling asleep while DD drove. She told me the whole story of the new lion king movie, which she'd really enjoyed. The plan was for her to go to school for an hour this morning, but then she had diarrhoea when they got home. DD has changed her to the other doctors practise in town, so she was going to try to get her an appointment this morning, just to be checked over. Hr consultant insisted that she changed doctors after the other practise wouldn't see her.
So work at lunchtime and I've some jobs to do before I go. I hope everyone has a good day x9 -
Morning all. Today's temperature is currently sitting at 1c, set to rise to 4c at best and fall to -1c overnight. We should have a few hazy spells of sun late morning/early afternoon but no rain. I'd expected to see frost this morning as the council gritters were out last night but there wasn't any, maybe tonight.
Yesterday's DIY pamper day was much enjoyed and the rest of the day was spent flitting between TV, reading and cross stitch. Last night I treated myself of a couple of pieces of coconut cream filled chocolate - I had to be very restrained to have just two as it was delicious. Not expensive and from the World Foods isle, Polish I think. I seem to be sneezing and sniffling a bit so it's back to the hot lemon drinks and paracetamol for now to hopefully ward off any lurgies.
Back to the grindstone today with a living room clean up and I also want to prune DH's Sadmin paperwork down to what can go and what to keep. I'll have to phone Pharmacy2U too, they keep sending reminder emails for DH's prescriptions and there doesn't seem to be any other way to contact them. I can just carry on deleting them I suppose but I'd rather not have them at all, they're a reminder I'd rather not have. Easy tea tonight with a ham & mushroom pasta meal, fruit/yogurt for afters.
@peony40 and @Chrisca50 - Sorry to hear about the bad dreams/upset tum, hope tonight's a better one for you both.
@bellabella - Good luck to DD for her hospital appointment, fingers crossed for good news.
@TA - Like you, I seem to have more summer clothes than winter ones - they didn't get much of an airing at all last summer, hopefully this year will be better.
Right, I'm off to attack the living room, the heating can go off while I'm doing that otherwise I'll be melting!
Healing thoughts for the Poodles, take care all. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.9 -
Morning! There is actual sun, no I'm not lying, there really is some sun! Good job too, today is a day of action. I've got to be at the allotment later on to hopefully receive some hay, and remember to take all the stuff on the list that I forgot to take yesterday. Other than that, OH is on lates so I can please myself for supper. And I have just found my hatchet that I lost which is going to com in handy being as I'm making a woven branch edging to the keyhole bed. I'm SO pleased! I've really missed that for doing kindling.Ruby, hope you see Rob today unless you really want a day off! dp1, poor thing, maybe she's not eating because of the usual consequences...it just seems one thing after another for her. Gers, same here. I've been telling myself for months I'm going to do some stuff to get more flexible,,hasn't happened yet... bella, fingers crossed everything goes well for your dd2..Peony, that did make me laug, I do that too to motivate myself, or try to at least...Take care all today, vibes to the poodles..Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi9

Hello all, another broken night's sleep, that's 3 in a row now. This time I was being chased by a cow with large horns after I was asking the man in my garden why he was walking his pig on a lead through it. No idea what was that all about but it disturbed me for hours.
This weekend I finally tried on some of my "going out" clothes I'd pulled from the wardrobe and I was pleased that everything, except for a pair of trousers, still fit. Just when I thought that maybe I'd found a little extra room in that wardrobe I've got to fit it back in and try again.
Today I have a few tasks to finish off and some paperwork shredding to get ready for the recycling which gets collected tomorrow. I'll order my meds online first though then later I will get on with my jigsaw.
Hope everyone can have a good day.
Take care all, stay safe and well.

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9 -
Good morning all, just about.
It was cold earlier but now we have a big yellow ball in the sky. Not much warmer but more cheerful.
I've been busy this morning, washing done and hopefully it'll dry. Vacuuming done now the floors to mop.
Chicken thighs out for tonight, will decide later what to have with them.
Have a good day all, hugs to all who need them. Take care.8
