It's very grey and rainy outside. Not even a hint of blue sky at all and looks set for the day. At least the temperature is at a low plus for a change. The leader of the exercise class is back from her extended winter travels, she'll be welcomed today. I'm looking forward to going to the class, despite my thinking about doing things at home I rarely did. Rubbish discipline. 😏
I hope that everyone had a good weekend and ready to face the week. Hugs to all.14 -
Morning Gers, and all
Had a night full of bad dreams so nice to be up. Well, more like sitting in bed with a coffee and watching some decluttering you tube shows to motivate myself.
I will get up soon, once the house has warmed up, and it will be a day of decluttering which I enjoy. Today’s task is to tidy away filing boxes, and tidy/declutter two bookcases.
Apart from this, it will be the usual Monday tasks of laundry.
I hope you all have a nice day.

Morning allI seem to have woken up with an upset tum this morning and was going to go for a walk round the park but think I'll stay home. It's looking very frosty out there so I'm probably better of staying in as I don't want to do myself a mischief on the ice! I've found some exercises on youtube for people with 'advanced years' so will probably do some of that instead It'll warm me up too! Going on holiday to somewhere warm at the end of the week so will probably potter about getting things together for our trip insteadHope everyone has a good day xx12

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's dry and cold here, yesterday was a nasty drizzly day, cold as well.
I didn't get back to post again yesterday - ds and dil arrived ( after checking that we were in!) then later dd came to pick up her daughter and dog, so it was chaotic, nice though. I forgot that I hadn't come back here till last night .
The birthday party on Saturday afternoon was pleasant, it's nice to meet up with people, and the cake was yum.
Today - well, what delights are in store, nothing startling. The ever present housework, and visiting my elderly friend up the road. I should get a birthday card off to Australia for my eldest dgs, he'll be 19 next month.
Ruby, I hope Rob will be all right, he's had a difficult time of it lately.
Hoping everyone has a good day, thinking of Dp1's dgd, and anyone else who is not well.
Take care folks.13 -
Morning all Brrrr its a chilly one here hoping to pop out to B &M to get the last of the cleaning bits for DD2's move this weekend coming
I am having a bit of a sort out clothing wise i seem to be wearing the same things and keeping bits i might wear and its getting a bit full in the wardrobes so need to drop a bag to the charity shop
DD2 is off to the hospital again today so we will see what happens there at the moment they have moved her two weeks forward to have the baby as her bloods are not getting any better so baby will be better out than in but that could all change again if things deteriorate
Dinner tonight sticky pork belly and rice
Have a good day one and all whatever you are up to stay safe and warm xSlava Ukraini10 -
Morning everyone I’m off out soon to meet my friend for a coffee and a catch up it’s cold but dry and the forcast if it can be believed is for it to get warmer later in the week. GERS I’m full of good intentions but rarely carry them out I think it’s just ten minutes a day and I lie in bed on a night and think damn I forgot about that ten minutes I was going to do I will definitely do it tomorrow it’s definitely better going to a class . DO1 I hope the little one can get sorted what a worry it must be so hard on you all and the little can’t understand everything that is happening she has gone through such a lot . Ruby I hope everything works out for Rob and he is settled and you get to see him . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning all, thanks Gers- enjoy your class.Sounds like you had a busy day Scarlet
I do miss the chaotic times when DS2 lived here before he had finished doing up his house and the 2 DGC would be staying over 2/3 times a week. We don't see DGD as much now she's a teenager and stays over at her friends quite often, and being half term we don't have DGS to pick up
Peony ,happy declutter! I've just put a heavy charity bag outside for collection.Hope you feel better soon Chrisca.Glad Rob has settled RR, and his taxi is paid for.I am off to visit one of our old neighbours after lunch, DH said he'd drop me off. She's had a difficult year health wise, and has a disabled son so there have been lots of carers in and out. We do still speak once a week but we both moved further in opposite directions so visiting isn't as easy.Leftover curry later, nice and easy. Have a nice day everyone.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)11 -
Morning all
Bitterly cold here but the sun is shining which is nice the heating has gone back on this morning I will turn it off before we go out.
I am half expecting Rob this morning the sw told me she would liaise with his mum and sort the taxis and would phone me back Friday, she never called back so I am not 100% sure he is coming I will ring her at 9 to check, the other lady I have cancelled yesterday so will wait and see if I have a day off or not.
Dinner tonight will be carbonara with the left over gammon from Christmas - I sorted the freezer yesterday and found some lurking so got that out and some chicken breasts for a curry tomorrow.
It would have been my Brothers 60th Birthday today I will pop and see mum later as she will be feeling his loss again as we all are he left a big hole in our lives.
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. Another cold one here too but at least it's not raining, nor is any forecast. If the 13 deg forecast for the end of the week happen I'll be amazed, though it is to be accompanied by wind and rain!!
I had one of my rare better nights last night, wish it was like that every night. Today a same old same old. Like ROSY I miss the chaotic nights and days when we had the 3 DGDs here for sleepover, school runs, etc 2/3 times a week.. It was blooming hard work at the time and I know I couldn't cope with with it now, but I still miss those days.
You all talking about wardrobe clearouts has put me to shame. I made a good start early January and then the job stopped. Like others I seem to be living in the same clothes all the time and don't need so many clothes. Plus I have far more summer clothes than winter and let's face it, thanks to climate change, the wearing of nice summer clothes seems a thing of the past now!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. RUBY thinking of you and your family today. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning all.
We had a really heavy frost overnight; quite a surprise when I pulled back the curtains this morning, so I'm not rushing and I'll let the sunshine start to defrost my car.
I looked in my diary and it's been over 2 months since I last had my hair cut so am going to see if I can make an appointment today. She only works two days a week now and I do childcare on one of them so hope I can get lucky. I also want to book an appointment for about 4 weeks before the wedding so need to get that sorted out.
Other than that I shall go to the Library and then maybe make a few little cakes as we are looking after DGS tomorrow - an extra day seeing as it's half term.
Look after yourselves everyone and keep warm.10
