Gatwick hotel & parking advice please.

Driving from West Wales, flying from Gatwick NORTH terminal @ 07:05, and returning SOUTH terminal @ 12:40 8 days later at end of May.

I'd be grateful for some advice please as to what's the best car park & hotel to use.

TIA  :)

Not sure whether the parking is best here but we always stay at the North Terminal Premier Inn.
Its great for early morning departures.
Free shuttle train back from the South terminal stops almost opposite the hotel.
Various parking options either through Premier INN or seperately but we dont use those so no advice there.

We always stay at Trumbles. You can leave your car there and they take and collect you from the airport.

My first choice would be the North Terminal Premier Inn as you can get from bed to departures in only a few minutes.

Second choice would be the A23 Premier Inn which is only a short walk from the North Terminal and is usually cheaper.

Parking usually go through Purple Parking.

Thanks all.. Will be checking all these out.
  • for hotel reservation i would suggest Premier Inn and for airport parking i would suggest to book with saveonpark.com. Hotel reservation can be pricy but you can find low cost parking at saveonpark.com

i like the North terminal Premier inn, it really is just over the road from the terminal.   Its particularly good paired with Tudor Rose Valet parking service as their drop off is right at the door of the Premier Inn and they can easily return your car to the South terminal pick up area for your return journey.

Tudor `Rose are reliable, we have used them for over 20 years and they can be very competitivly priced vs the official on airport car parks.

We usually use Hampton by Hilton or the Premier Inn because both are very handy to the airport.

I was looking the other day for a Gatwick handy hotel and came across someone offering a tent in their garden for a mere £185 per night (which was actually more expensive than the onsite airport hotels). I thought about it for a very long 1 nano second and thought, nah I am not that stupid.

Thank you all for the advice.

After suggestions here and a little research of my own, I've booked Hampton Hilton for easy access early morning for North terminal.

Still parking to sort but Cambridge Hotel is favourite at the moment. Will be booking in a few days if nothing better turns up👌😊
