As an aside, I use PatMa. It's actually designed for those looking to BTL, but it does an excellent job of showing you price drops. Entirely free.

And apparently, it gets 4.7/5 on Google Extensions.
All the price apps are free, they have the option to donate if you wish just like loads of other free stuff on the internet.

They may not want to drop the price, because the house price history will show the value. They may offer some other kind of deal to result in you handing over less cash but keeping the price up.

If you've got a price in mind, there's no harm in approaching them with an offer. Worst case they say no.
Having loads of empty houses on an estate is more damaging to their business than price drops, they don`t really care about the people who already purchased and overpaid.

They care about what they can sell the next estate for. If these ones all sell for 25% under, on record, they'll struggle to sell the new ones at asking.

That's why they'll be more likely to do deals that keep the sold price listing high.

That worked while the monthly mortgage debt costs were really low but it doesn`t work so well now, hence loads of new estates with unsold stock.

Area 360 looks better for BTL.
