Morning everyone
Still grey and drizzly here, I was only as far as the wheelie bin yesterday!
DD dropped little one off for a short while yesterday - lots of lovely cuddles. I had bought her a Gabbys dolls house toy - a cardboard house with figures so we spent a couple of hours playing with that and making more furniture with bits out of her craft box. She's still on feeds every 3 hours and her pump feed overnight and showing no inclination to eat, though she told me she's sad she isn't eating. When she came out of hospital in September there was talk of her seeing a psychologist, but then she started eating again - DD is thinking she might need to see someone so she's going to speak to her consultant next week. There's a year long waiting list so we might have to go private, but I know my mam and dad would help. There's no medical reason for her not to eat, she just isn't. It was lovely to listen to her chat and see her enjoying herself, though she was very tired when she went home after just 3 hours.
This morning mam is going to church, so I'll go down to sit with dad. Then a nice afternoon with my Sunday Times and my book.
Redruby, it was good to hear that Rob likes his new home
Hope everyone has a good day x10 -
Morning all. Yet another cold, dull and wet day - it seems never ending - although I haven't yet seen any of the sleet that we're supposed to be getting. That's fine by me, I don't need or want to see it!
I dealt with yesterday's post that consisted of a new tax coding for 2025/26 (yes, they're on their way), a letter from my water company about registering for Priority Services (now done) and the final balance statement from DH's bank, making that the last bit of Sadmin. I gave the freezer contents a tidy up that hasn't really made any more space but at least things are in some semblance of order - for now. Then followed a long phone call from DS, after which it was a chill out day and, by way of a change from knitting, I've started on a new piece of cross stitch. No housework or jobs to do today, instead I'm going to have a DIY pamper session. Beef casserole for tea, just need to peel the potatoes and decide on what veg I want.
@RedRuby1231 - I'm glad to hear Rob is happy with the new arrangements and that you'll still be able to see him.
@mehefin - That's a lovely community, all pulling together.
@Coxy11 - Fingers crossed the drain people can finish the job tomorrow.
@peony40 - Welcome back, regular 15 minute bursts of decluttering sounds good.
@TA - I had to laugh at you nodding off during DGD's choice of TV viewing - I would have been too.
@dp1 - Enjoy your relaxing afternoon of reading.
Enjoy what's left of the weekend, take care and keep warm. Healing wishes for the Poodles, hugs as ever. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
Morning all
It feels cold and damp here but we are promised a bit of sun later I hung some washing out yesterday and will try and do the same today it smells so much nicer for being outside.
I have a bit of brisket in the sc which we will have tonight with roasties and veg and my beloved yorkshires 😃 I think I will do some parsnips too as I love them.
Im hoping they have remembered to sort out Robs taxis for tomorrow he is due here at 10 and then I pick my other lady up at 10.20 so let’s hope they have it organised.
I sorted out the cleaning cupboard yesterday it looks so much better and organised, I might do the space under the sink in the utility today which always seems to be messed up.
Hope you all enjoy your Sundays xx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -

Hi everyone,
Rosy, I was the same, it got to 11pm and I realised I hadn't read the thread.
We had an early call from Chris saying that Crystal had gone to London to meet her uni friends and did we want to meet him and Nate in Cambridge so of course there was only one answer to that. We had a lovely day with them and then came home and I made Red Thai duck curry with roasted broccoli in peanut sauce, delicious even though I say so myself.
Brian has gone off to Istanbiul on a work thing today. He'll be back on Tuesday, late so we'll have both children while Laura is at work for the next two days. We're taking them to the theatre on Tuesday to see Room on the Broom and then we have Nate on Wednesday so I've booked a soft play session half way between us and Laura will bring the two E's to meet us. Then they are planning to go to London to stay in their flat which the tenants have vacated and before they exchange contracts on the sale, so next weekend should be quiet.
dp1, that's sad, I hope she manages to start eating again soon.
I hope Rob is sorted Ruby.
Have a good day.9
