Good morning, it's another wet day here.
No particular plans for today, we have dg d and the dog staying over, so dog walking will be to do. I'll take him out soon for a short walk then he can go out again when it's light for a proper walk.
I'll pop back later to see what everyone is up to.

Good morning
Dull and damp here, same old. Yesterday DH treated me to a trip to the DIY store (for something he wanted). It's in a nearby city and my goodness was the traffic crazy there. I was glad he was driving and not me. While our I popped into Lids for some fresh nveg and came out £30 later. In my defence I did get a bottle of wine, but I really must stop this random shopping. The freezer and cupboards are heaving, and there's only the two of us.
Dinner today will be roast pork with all the trimmings, looking forward to that later. Nothing else planned for today, but you never know when DH gets up.
Good news about Rob, Ruby, he sounds happy there.
Have a good day all. Take care.12 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
I'm up early for a Sunday. Hoping to get out in our garden today if it isn't too perishing as I have a few places still to tidy up. DH and DD made good progress on DD's bedroom yesterday but boy was it noisy (no carpet/curtains and power tools/hammering). They will continue on with that today and we will have a roast pork dinner later.
I need to write a meal plan for next week and the accompanying shopping list. Will shop tomorrow, but slightly later as I have an appointment in the morning. We also have the drains company coming back to finish the job - hoping it's the final visit for a while!
Have a good day all

Morning - thanks for starting us off @Scarlet.As well as the expected chill it's also very windy outside. Hopefully the rain will stay away for a while. After my tasty cafe breakfast yesterday I was set up for the rest of the day. I should get back in the habit of doing that maybe followed by a walk. It was too cold to have a leisure walk, that easterly wind is still hanging around. In the evening I pressed a wrong button on my TV remote control (fst fingers) which gave me The Masked Singer programme which I'd never watched before. At that moment the Wolf was unmasked, that gave me a few minutes of joy. Small things!Today I have the washing to fold and put away. Think I'll tackle the wardrobe this morning, the bottom of it has stuff in a pile in a 'out of sight out of mind' way which annoys me. 😏
I hope that the 70th and 80th birthday parties were a success. Keep warm everyone, hugs to all.12 -
Morning everyone,
What a cold morning, I am really feeling it today.
A quiet, pottering about the home day today. I have some washing on that I will hang up indoors shortly, then it is a day of decluttering, I still have 2 boxes of my dad’s paperwork to go through, plus some of mine, wage slips from 1989 onwards that we found in my parent’s attic. I also want to make a start on decluttering the small bedroom, 15 minutes at a time,
Apart from this, I need to restart my crochet, it’s been looking at me for the last few months making me feel guilty, so I want to complete it and gift to my sister. I will make a start while catching up with the football and watching the main match this afternoon.
It is nice to be back, I needed some down time to recover from the last few years as my energy reserves were depleted. As long as I remember to pace myself, I shall be fine.
I hope you are all doing well?Take care.

Morning all.
Up bright and early after last night's party, which went well. Saw an old friend who'd driven over from Norwich so that was good.
Today we are lounging about and then then walking up the road for Sunday lunch before our friend drives home.
Happy Sunday everyone.12 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Blooming cold here as well, with a light covering of snow overnight. I have never been as fed up with winter as this one. It seems endless.
I had youngest DGD here for a sleepover. She is still in bed but no idea if she is still asleep or roaming about on her phone. Breakfast is ready to go when she appears. Last nights tv was her choice of viewing! Masked Singer, Gladiators on catch up, then Michael McIntyre's Big Show also on catch up. I think I kept nodding off! She is off to her dads after lunch as he has her younger half siblings there and she loves seeing them. DD was working a long overnight shift at the hospice
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. RUBY it was good to hear that Rob has settled happily in his new home. Take care all, stay safe and warm. xx

ning everyone, dull & wet here- no change there then. I realised just now that I didn't post yesterday and haven't caught up either so I hope everyone is having a good weekend. We had to be out early for DGS 'friendly' football match. Our coach arranged it, the opposition was an academy team who play in the next age group up so we knew it'd be tough. and it was. Our boys lost, which they didn't like but it's showed which areas need to be improved on. I stayed on at the retail park and DH picked me up a couple of hours later. I bought a thermos flask at the big CS, brand new for £3, bargain! I t was nice to just potter.
Nothing much on today at all. I have a pork joint to go in the sc, will crisp up the crackling in the air fryer later. It was one of the bargain ones I bought and cut in half at Xmas, there is still 1 more pork and a beef one too.Right , off to make another cuppa, have a good day:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
