List price vs OTR price

I will shortly be ordering a new EV which is not going to be available before the new financial year and want to avoid going into luxury car tax territory. Adding on all the features I want brings the total to a fraction over £40k but this is on the road pricing, and what Is not clear is what apart from the £55 new care registration fee, is excluded from the list price. Delivery and number plates I would have thought should not be included but I would like to be a bit more certain than that.

Ask the dealer what the official list price is - the P11d value should be the one that's published, and is the one that's counted.
Toyota's pdf price lists are quite explicit about it...

"List Price for VED renewal purposes comprises: cost of the Vehicle including £700 delivery charge & £26 Number Plate allowance (all inclusive of VAT)"
The difference is that OTR then adds on the first year VED to that.0 -
Is the price at "a fraction over £40k" after any discounts? It is the list price rather than discounted price that applies and discounts may be far in excess of any components ignored in assessing the VED threshold.
For company car BIK, the list price is as follows:
"It includes standard accessories, any relevant taxes (VAT, car tax (where appropriate), any customs or excise duty, any tax chargeable as if it were a customs duty) and delivery charges, but excludes the new car registration fee because it’s an administration fee, not a tax."
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/how-to-work-out-the-benefit-of-a-company-car-480-chapter-12#step-1-the-price-of-the-car
That would mean everything is in the list price apart from the £55 first registration fee.0 -
Thanks for the replies. I have not taken any discounts off. The two links seem to conflict with each other the difference in LP and OTRP for the Toyota is the cost of delivery and number plate, where as the government guide says they are inclusive.I have also found the a newer price list for the Skoda Elroq I am looking at and the only thing thing coming off the P11 price is the first registration fee which comes out at £39975, so not much wiggle room if the list price changes between now the several months.
I might take the tow bar off the config just to be safe. I don’t put my bike rack on that often these days and this car has a lot more space in the back than my ID3 does. Could spend the money on a Brompton instead.0 -

The list price at the date of first registration is the one that is used.0
