Best choice for electric car tariff?
Really confused atm with all the rises. Have currently Intelligent Octopus Go for the car , and Octopus 12M Fixed for the gas . With the rises on the electric side would it be any better for me to go to a fixed and get rid of the bespoke car tariff ?

Take a look at that, I expect you'll find it to be less than 20p. Mines around 15p.I doubt that you will find a fixed rate that's anything like as cheap.

What percentage of your electricity use is at the 7p rate?0

As mentioned above you won't get a fix that is likely to be at your average on intelligent go.1 -

You're not going to beat that with either a single-rate fix or a current E7 tariff. You might save a little by switching to Tomato, but they're a bit quirky. There's a thread about them that you should read before making a decision.

If your average cost is 15p, then the odds of a fixed tariff that low are slim to zero...
Mine was down to 532.6kWh @ 13.51p/kWh

I plug in anytime of the day ,due to the inconsistency with my car(Audi Etron) and the Ohme interface and IO it seems to charge at the 7p rate most of the time (or there is always capacity in the network to allow this).Always shows the car at 0% when plugging in so I just do the maths and add whatever % I need via the Ohme app to reach the 80% target. This has been consistent for months now as due to recent updates the handshake between the 3 Apps has broken down.0

Just remove car API (app) & do it manually. Saves a lot of problems, as you have found.Life in the slow lane1
