Gas cooker fitted no receipt

My parents had a freestanding gas cooker fitted, along with a new hose which was adjusted to the correct height. They were asked to pay cash to the Corgi registered fitter, which they did. A receipt was asked for at the time, but they can't exactly remember what was said. I sent an email on the 10th February asking for a copy, I have had no reply.
I wanted to check to see that even if I can't get a receipt does a certificate of installation have to be provided?
Thanks

A gas cooker isn't notifiable under the building regs so no compliance certificate is needed. If it's a rented property then an updated gas safety certificate will be required.0

Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.1 -

Not necessarily. The installer may refer to "Corgi" simply because he/she believes that the customer understands this rather than Gas Safe. People use incorrect names/terminology all the time - it doesn't necessarily indicate dishonesty.2 -
The OPs post does not say he called himself a CORGI registered engineer, that's what the OP is saying.
However wanting to be paid in cash and not issuing a receipt does not sound great.0
