You need to check all three credit reference agencies, Experian, Equifax and Credit Karma.

Register online and get instant access, do not sign up for any product other than the basic viewing of your credit report which is free.

That`s credit report, not credit score, there is a difference, the report is fact, the score is fiction.

If its your debt and its been less than 6 years since default, then at least one of them should show the accounts details.

What report is this and have you looked at the credit record for old, settled debts?

If it's not there at all it could mean that this Link debt

• Isn't your debt

• Is your debt but was defaulted more than 6 years ago

• Is your debt but just isn't being reported

If it is there then the default date is important

Thanks @fatbelly. I’ll bear all that in mind. @ManyWays I requested my Experian credit report. I haven’t seen it yet. All I can see is my rating and under that it says one item contributes to my total borrowing and that’s my mortgage. @sourcrates I’ll apply for the other two now. I’d never even heard of credit karma!

But often don't, so it is best to check them all

Thanks @sourcrates. I’m unable to access my credit report on any platform that uses TransUnion because my address doesn’t show up in the standard drop down list. I’ve tried to rectify this issue several times but haven’t succeeded. Do you know if there a work around this issue?

I’ve just received my credit report and link financial is on it. The debt becomes statute barred this September from the information I can see. I haven’t heard back from link regarding the prove it letter which was delivered to them only 2 days ago. Any advice on what to do next would be greatly appreciated.
