Amazon delivery charges

Hi
Has anyone had an issue with Amazon delivery charges? I am a prime customer (my oh pays and I'm on household) and have been for years and years.
I recently noticed that I've been getting charged delivery on some deliveries and this has, from what I can gather, been going on for some time.
I appreciate that not everything is valid for prime but when it's not a prime item it's normally very clear on the product page and certainly in the checkout page as often there is delivery options.
In my case, the product page tells me prime free delivery, the basket tells me prime free delivery, the check out page tells me prime free delivery and the only page that shows a charge is in the tiny total box (which I don't look at as it's a total and I already know the cost and delivery - or at least I should). When there is multiple items in my basket I can't tell which item is causing the delivery charge as there is no way to know.
Speaking to Amazon, they have told me there is no fault despite be sending multiple screen shots. They've told me that it's a third party issue but it's not as it's displaying as prime free delivery, they've told me it's because of items being sent from Amazon Europe and again that delivery charges are on the product page but they're not. Amazon have now stopped responding to emails.
Obviously, I can go elsewhere but whether we like Amazon or not they are very handy so I would like to sort this issue out but I don't know where to turn.
Any help will be very much appreciated.

Not a problem I've seen... can you provide a link to such an item? As a new user you will have to delete the https://www. from the front of the link but after doing that you should be able to post it.0

It's not the £1.99 that's added and then deducted for eg the pre 12noon or same day deliveries so long as you spend over £20?0

Minimum spend is £20 for Prime, £35 for non prime I think...
I do wonder if its the £1.99 type charges where you say you want it super quick. If you have different items in the same order then you do get to see each item dispatch cost before the final total - you have to scroll down.
Its not a bug, its the way the page works (and has for quite some time).0 -

It does in general for things included with Prime. There's in addition a limited range of items that can be rush ordered so that if you order before I think noon it arrives that day or if you order before midnight the next morning. Those items are also free rush delivery if you spend over £20 on the rushed items. Ours almost invariably arrive at 7.30 am which saved my bacon when I discovered on a Sunday a couple of things I needed for my MOT on the Monday!0
