I'm trying to make a little stockpile of ground coffee & instant coffee as the coffee harvest was very poor & prices are expected to shoot up this year. ☕️ ☕️
Keeping my loo roll and Yorkshire Tea stash top up after the trauma of not being able to buy during the Covid shortage
Read longingly of yellow sticker bargains but rarely in luck. Farm Foods have some great deals and getting the money off coupons in the leaflet helps tooNewly retired and looking forward to

I shop at Farm foods to bulk buy certain items.
Cat food, pepsi max, vimto & a few other bits.
If you haven't got a farm foods leaflet google farm foods discount codes & register your email they'll immediately email you the latest discount codes and they'll scan the codes off your phone. I usually open up the email & hand it over to the checkout operator because you can often use more than one code.
This isn't just for first time registration I've done this multiple times, they display a message to say this email address is already registered & emails you the vouchers. I saved £10 a couple of weeks ago

I'm pleased to say that my local Aldi has had lots of 30% and some 50% YS bargains lately. I bought lots of salmon fillets for the freezer today. 😁

I keep certain things stocked up so I don't need to think about them. Our favourite coffee beans have gone up £10 for a 12 bag case since I last got them, so got another case, we use about one a month and it's always well in date. It's about £20/case more than when I first started this. I priced the same up in Sainsbury's. I'm saving £54 on a year's worth!
I try to keep an eye on offers for household stuff so I have about a year's worth on hand, washing powder, stain remover powder and liquid and dishwasher tabs. It helps me to not have to make those decisions frequently. Same with boxes of tissues and loo rolls. MIL gets me gift sets of Dove for birthday and Xmas so don't need to consider those.
Food wise I try and keep in plenty of sugar for preserves and baking. Always a back up of each type of flours that I use. I try and always have eggs and butter, just getting in a load of baked beans as husband's preferred type is on offer. In fact I have a back up of most things. If you have to buy just one thing it's irritating, time wasting, inconvenient and you usually have to spend more on it.
I acknowledge that I have the privilege of space to store things and also can be flexible with budget to allow purchasing as necessary. I know that not everyone has the room or flexibility to do this."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

I tend to use these 'council tax free' months to stockpile a bit on store cupboard and household items. I always tend to forget stuff when shopping so there is less of a risk of running out. I will buy what is on offer rather than stick to brands.6
