Inquiry Regarding Right to Buy Eligibility – Suspended Possession Order

Options
Urgently seeking legal advice regarding my eligibility for the Right to Buy scheme with the Council.

I was issued a suspended possession order in 2013 due to rent arrears; however, I have since fully complied with the terms of my tenancy, and my rent payments are now completely up to date.

1. Does a 12-year-old suspended possession order automatically disqualify me from the Right to Buy scheme, even though I am now fully up to date with rent payments?

2. Is there an appeal or legal challenge process if my application is rejected on this basis?

3. Would the Council have any discretion in allowing me to proceed given my current compliance with my tenancy agreement?

And I've also contacted right to buy specialists to try and get ahead of this.

Thank you.

Presumably you missed or underpaid at least 2 rent payments?  If so council could still serve s8g10&11 notices and might (v unlikely) evict you...

What do you think their attitude would be towards you & your requests?

This seems to suggest that your right to buy is reinstated if you have complied with all the terms of the possession order.

    Sorry confused by your response.

Im up to date and have been since 2013. I'm not in anyway at risk of eviction.
