Charter Bank Deposit

I've managed to get accepted for the Charter Savings Bank account. I tried before but they said it wasnt accepting new members. But there you go ..
Anyway, how do you deposit money into the account? I've set up my nominated bank details.
Do I have to wait until they send another email to authenticate the account or am I missing something? There doesn't seem to be anywhere to click on to deposit any money. I was just going to deposit £1 just for starters.
TIA

Charter are probably one of my favourite savings banks. Only slight downside is that there are no Faster Payments in and out of your nominated account, but not the end of the world. Your new account should appear in your list of accounts within an hour of opening and from there you will see your account number. Payments in should be to the ‘Charter Savings Bank’ and the account and sort code they advised to you (also under their FAQ). The reference should be the 7 digit numerical part of your Charter account number followed by your surname. When you opened the account they give you a reference number that can also be used for your initial deposit……I’ve never ever used this, preferring to wait for the actual account details.
From their FAQ too…….“Electronic payments made into your Charter Savings Bank account before 9pm will appear in your account on the same day. Payments made after 9pm will show the following day. Bank Holidays may cause additional delays.
If you’ve sent a cheque, this will show on the working day after we’ve received it.
We’ll write to you to confirm that we’ve received your deposit and paid it into your account.”

Currently have two fixed term isas and a 30 day notice account with them.
At the moment they have the highest share of my overall savings, but from time to time I defect to Kent Reliance ( their sister business) when an appealing product comes along.
Only improvement I would like from Charter ( and Kent Reliance) is a mobile app.1 -
Does anyone know how to register for the Charter Bank phone app? It asks for an SSN/Tax ID but it's not my NI number because it doesn't take letters. I can access account online, but not able to register for app yet. Very frustrating.0
