Lease extension - informal v formal

Hello! I found your post through a google search. In a very similar situation - have an 87 year lease flat with Clarion and looking to extend. I would be really interested to hear if you proceeded with the extension, if you went formal/informal, and how the process went, if you wouldn’t mind sharing?
