Hi I'm planning to spend a couple of days in Paris next month and hope to go on to Saumur for a few days. Does anyone know the best way to do this trip? Is a bus feasible or is the train a better option.
Also any info on Saumur would be great. Hoping to camp to minimise costs. Is this available there?
many thanks!

Try car sharing - there are bound to be lots of others travelling on a ferry near you and you can share the costs.
https://www.franceconnections.co.uk is a great car share site I am registered on hoping to save a bit of money on my next trip.
Hope this helps0 -
We camped for a few days near very near Saumur in 2000 -- sorry, I wouldn't have a clue about the name or location of the camp site, but yes, it's possible and it was fine. It was very close to the mushroom museum, I seem to remember. Nice area.0
