Inheritance and carer's allowance 8 week run off period

I have just had money paid in to my account as my late mothers bank account has been closed after her recent death. I've noticed today that a payment has been sent which is part of the carer's allowance 8 week run off period should I be worried about this or should I get it cancelled and return that run off money?
They are aware about my mother's death,this is just the 8 week run off money
