Morning All
Still cold and grey, not a lot has changed on the weather front!
Had a lovely catch up with friends after work with a superb baked potato with tuna and cheese. Lots of chat and another friend joined us later on.
Mammogram after work today then I really have to pack a case for the weekend as I'll be going straight from work tomorrow. I've never been so disorganised!
Washing on the airer again with another load to do tonight.
Hugs to anyone in need, keep warm and take care. XX13 -
Back - it's not quite so dark this morning, cold and dry so far.The visit to the GP was good yesterday, the one I saw is so lovely and chatty. I've got a non-suspicious small lump on my back (blocked cyst probably) which I've ignored for too long. Now the itching has been at level 11 so it needs 'sliced and diced'. Doc given me a cream to keep the itch down, because of where the lump is I have to use a spatula to smooth it on - can't reach it with hands. Luckily my bathroom cabinet doors has mirrors on both sides so, by standing on a wee step and opening the doors I can just about see where to aim the cream. To add to my rota of medical stuff I have an appointment with the audiologist this morning so I'll be heading up north shortly. It's been too long since my last testing. After that I will do some light shopping. Exciting days!I hope that everyone is warm and safe, take care all. Hugs all around.15

Morning all.
Another dull and dreary day but we are looking after DGS2 today so that will brighten things upI think we'll be going to MK to check on shoes for him and maybe pick up a few bits.
I had to send in the reading for our gas meter yesterday so thought I'd also check our electricity account online. It seems that since the smart meter was fitted on 1 November we haven't been billed for any useage so the money is just building up in our account. DH phoned them and they said they will look into it but might need to send someone to look at the smart meter. What a pain!
Did manage to make a marmalade cake yesterday plus the chicken and veg soup. There's some soup left so will see how hungry we feel later.
Hugs to everyone and hope your day goes well.13 -

Aerialgirl, I also missed yesterday nothing much to report.
Went shopping yesterday a trip to the nearest town for a change. Needed to go to HB for doggie bags, have found them the best for big dog. Had a look around Morries as well, got 2 packs of cooking bacon, all streaky, for £1 each. Finished off at Lids to do the weekly shop, no bargains but I did save a whole 22p on a box of tea bags.
No plans for today, what an exciting life I lead.
Ruby, hope all goes well for Rob and you can carry on seeing him.
Mehefin, so glad you could help out, I bet they appreciated it.
Have a good day everyone I've missed out. Hugs as usual for all that need them.12 -
Morning all
Cold here and overcast but no rain atm, I am off to collect Rob today and will see what his foot is like before making a decision about work it was playing him up again yesterday so don’t want him standing on it all day if it’s still bad.
Cheesy bean pie for dinner with sausages I’m not really keen on sausages but they need eating so I will have one or two, OH loves them so I’m sure he will finish them off.
OH went into Homebase yesterday, it closes tomorrow and got us a new Brabantia whirly washing line, ours is on its last legs but has lasted about 15 years so we got our moneys worth out of it, the new one was £130 reduced to £13.50 so a great bargain. We just need time good weather now to be able to hang some washing out.
I will have a hoover through before work and I have put a wash on this morning.
Have good days all and take care xx

Hi all
Yesterday was non stop chores, walking and craft work. I suspect today will be the same. Did manage to book a few days away combined with more campervan viewing next month. There’s currently a vehicle beeping which has been for half an hour - neighbours opposite having a huge extension and Severn Trent also laying a long new pipeline across about 8 miles - they’ve been at it for over a year……..while I was typing the beeping stopped!Hope everyone had a good day

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Well done on booking everything for your London trip. I can't think of anything that would tempt me to London these days.
It goes without saying I suppose that it's cold and grey here. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse I hear rain and sleet is now forecast for the w/e. I haven't been beyond the bins all week and going a bit stir crazy so I'm debating with myself whether to wrap up warm and catch the bus into town and then an onwards bus to maybe Ilkley. Not been since before Christmas and thoughts of some nice goodies from M & S Food is sounding tempting now that I have a bit of room in the freezer.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all keep warm and safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers. That sounds like a right performance to apply the ointment. Hope after all the effort it helps stop the itching!
Have a good trip to London @camelot1001 x
We are off to the community kitchen garden this morning. It's seed sowing time and we will bring home a couple of module mini-greenhouses each to keep at home until they sprout. We can't do anything further in DD's room as DH is waiting for some tools to take up the flooring. The drainage company spent all day here yesterday and there is still an issue, so they will be back on Monday. We are flowing for now though
Dinner is chilli con carne which I'll do in the slow cooker. We will do the Friday tidy today as our car is being MOT'd tomorrow morning then we are out for lunch with DSis and BIL.
What an absolute bargain on the whirly gig @RedRuby1231 !!
Have a good day everyone,

Hi everyone,
I'm having a lazy start to the day. I had a migraine yesterday but it's fine now I just thought I'd give L and B (mainlya taste of what it's like getting two children up and ready for school and nursery without anyone to help. They really have an easy life, able to get themselves ready, go on appointments etc without a small child or two in tow. They'll have a rude awakening when they move out.
Not a lot is happening here, it's Esben's parents evening today but we don't expect any issues. The main thing Laura wants to talk about is maths, they are just starting simple addition but Esben has that down pat and over the last few weeks has taught himself the times tables up to eleven so he's a bit bored.
Mehefin, that sounds scary and also well done you.
Nanny, I hope you're feeling better.
TA, enjoy Ilkley, have a Betty's custard tart for me, they are so good, the pastry is to die for.
Have a good day.12
