Starting with a new Google account for backup

My current WhatsApp and everything else is backed up onto my Gmail account can I start perhaps on a new phone with a new Gmail account and backup everything from now no old messages etc onto this new account?

Yes you can. I used to have two Google accounts in order to get extra free storage. Eventually paid for extra space on one as it became awkward jumping between the two.textbook said:
