Your credit card file is live but it only gets updated when the lender updates it.  Lenders don't update every hour as your credit card balance changes.

It also depends on who and how it's being viewed.  The credit reports I see can be up to 3 months behind so would just now be reporting for Nov/Dec rather than last week.  My understanding is that banks see something more up to date but it's not completely up to date.

Lenders have different reporting cycles - i.e. when they send their data to the CRAs.  Some will report weekly, some monthly (and, I guess, potentially other frequencies), but monthly reporting is fairly common.
The CRAs will process the new data feed pretty much as soon as they get it (typically each night in their computer batch processing).  But it's important to remember that the data you see on the free version of the report that you're looking at isn't updated in real-time - unlike the paid-for version which a lender will be looking at.
