Dear Martin & friends,
I have a serious dilemma.
It goes like this. I can't find any time to work any more, to earn money to pay my bills.
Why?
I am so busy administrating and managing the accounts and interactions that I have with various financial, commercial and government organisations, that I simply don't have any time left over. You know, those very £multi-million organisations who have enormous back office operations (soon to be replaced with a robot, with less intelligence than a tin of rice pudding), but who expect me to check my accounts/subscriptions every five minutes and change my password every 1/4 hour.
See, I'm now a little longer in the tooth and I remember the days when you could pop down to the bank and pay off all of your bills in one go. I remember this then being replaced by the new fangled online systems where, if there was a problem, you could call a telephone number and a friendly assistant would help you resolve the issue in 10 minutes. Now? Well...
Isn't it time that we said "No more!"?
Surely, if all of us tried together. What d you think?
Oh, okay. I'll get back to my other day job. The one that doesn't pay anything, but steals all of your time from you.

Please to be discriminated against by financial institutions. Thank-you for taking advantage of my Dyspraxia.

All my direct debits sort themselves out automatically each month without fail or intervention.
I have no desire to go back to the days of queueing at a bank counter to withdraw cash then walk between the electircity board, water board, and british telecom shop to resolve any issues or pay their paper bills.
I also don't fancy having to park in the centre of town and queue at the DVLA to update my driving licence, or the post office to pay my vehicle tax.
There are many parts of life that were better in the olden days. This was not one of them!
• The rich buy assets.
• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

Another who thinks it’s much easier now, I can’t remember the last time I had to go to a bank and queue to pay bills, withdraw money etc. So much easier and quicker now.0

Well, you probably could if you had been able to organise for all of your bills to fall due at the same time of the month, but it's more likely that you'd have had to make several trips to the bank to pay them all off. It's much easier now to have DDs set up to take the money with no interaction from you at all, and you might even get a lower bill (e.g. from energy suppliers) if you pay by DD.

Not sure what issue the OP actually has.
If it is paying bills, set up monthly direct debits and review them when every six months to ensure you aren't holding too much credit with the utility company, takes about 15 minutes every six months looking at elec/gas and water.
For subscriptions, just be sure you know who you have subscribed to and when any promotional offers end. Set calender notes if you need to cancel before an offer price ends. Shouldn't take long if you are in control of your spending anyway.
For broadband and mobile contracts, every two years when a deal ends, check the best deal you can now get and switch as needed. This one might take longer, but maybe an hour every two years?
Generally if you aren't signing up willy-nilly to weird subscriptions I don't see the issue.2
