Universal credit

my daughter is paid every 4 weeks by her employer. Therefore getting 13 payments a year. Whilst on tax credits they also paid every 4 weeks. Now on universal credit being paid monthly. This has resulted in her pay going in twice in December. So she had zero payment in January. Resulting in £600 loss. This will happen every year even tho her salary has not increased.
Anyone else have this problem. DWP no help.

It's unfortunate about the timing and it's effect on her budgeting, but will she actually lose out over the year as a whole?
For each of the eleven months she does get a payment, it's going to be based on income of four weeks salary rather than a full months, so her payment will be slightly higher than if she was paid monthly ?0
