Child Trust funds

Hello all,  looking for some help here as I don't appear to be getting anywhere fast.  My children 17 and 15 had Child Trust funds opened with Legal and General shortly after they were born.  About 7 years ago it appears Legal and General sold their portfolio to a company called Onefamily.   I have contacted Onefamily who have no details of these accounts ever being sold to them.  Legal and General apparently only have to keep record for 6 years so have shut their Child Trust Fund department.  I have tried the HMRC tool but that only tells you who the fund was set up with and so they point towards Onefamily as the original L & G was sold to Onefamily.  Is there a tool out there that can trace their accounts using their details now, not using their details from when the accounts were set up? I seem to be hitting a brick wall at every turn!  Regards Campervan1
