Hello All
Recently looked at a one bed flat which was priced at market value for the area but on investigation found that the water and electric supply is shared with two other flats in the building. Not mentioned in the advert at all and priced at market value, i mean what the hell?
I find this incredibly deceiving and the cheek to ask market value when you have no control over the utility bills seems insane.
Is this even legal?
Obviously i did have a go at the EA for bigging up the place, wasting my time and failing to mention before viewing the status of the utilities. No, i am not longer interested.

Was this to rent or to buy?1

Did you ask whether each flat had individual bills? It would be highly unusual to have one bill split between all flats, someone has to be a named account holder and be responsible for paying bills and agreeing to contracts.Having a go at the estate agent doesn’t really achieve anything, it’s the seller that sets the price, regardless of local market averages.1
