Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
The weather seems to be stuck in grey, cold and miserable mode, would love to see a bit of sunshine. Washing on the airer overnight, will put it away later.
Hope you're feeling better Nanny and manage to get all those sausage rolls eaten!
Laughing at the 'coven' Mehefin.
Fingers crossed the little one gets back to school soon dp1. When do you go to Morocco?
Rob's new place sounds promising Ruby.
Work was interesting yesterday, a few of the troublesome boys were on top form and ended up having to be taken home. Would have been good if their parents had said 'no' whilst they were younger they really can't cope with things not going their way. Strange as they are all the same age, maybe covid related.
Off to meet friends after work for something to eat, will be good to catch up then I really must sort some clothes out for the weekend away - it's half term next week so we have a couple of days off.
Have a good day, take care. XX

Morning again, it's cold and miserable here as well Camelot, no doubt will be grey when it gets light. Izzy was talking about something called 'Spring' yesterday, wonder what it is!
Hope you enjoyed your stew Arielgirl.
Mehefin, you made me laugh, women knitting at the guillotine!
Ruby, Rob must be anxious poor lad, hope he ends up somewhere that he likes.
Remmie, nice that you got a good deal with your car insurance. Our house insurance is staying the same this year so we'll stick with this company for another year.
TA I'm finding space in my freezer as well, I've been really determined to use things up.
Camelot some of the children sound challenging - if they're like this now, I'm scared to think what they'll be like when they get older.
Hope dg d feels better soon Dp1.
Coxy I was going to say something to you but have forgotten what it was! Hope you have a good day anyway.
In fact, hope everyone has as good a day as they can, take care folks14 -
Morrning allStill in bed with the news on in the background.Nothing exciting on the menu today except hanging washing on the airer and some hoovering, dusting and bathroom cleaning. The spring bulbs are poking through but the Spring weather doesn't seem to want to make an appearance yet. Just a few degrees warmer would be good. Ho humHope everyone has a good day and keeps warm x14

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
Drain company coming again today. We need a new liner so that will take most of the day. I need to move the car so I don’t get blocked in. I have a couple of errands to run this morning including taking some cash out - don’t think I’ve done that yet this year, what a novelty!
The chintzy border came off the walls along with some chunks of plaster! Luckily DH can fix this and BIL will do the larger patches. Today we will tackle the (very) creaky floor. We are attending a talk this evening in the village hall on British coastal birds and their secret lives. Should be interesting.Hope you’re feeling brighter soon @nannywindow. I did laugh at the glut of sausage rolls/pasties though (sorry!) xx
Annoying about the water ingress @YorksLass hope it gets sorted quickly x
Have a good day all

Morning all
Can’t wait for spring! There’s plenty signs of bulbs etc but I’m fed up of greyness. Two decent days at work and now need to turn my attention to craft work and an increasingly long list of jobs to do - windows to clean, floors to steam and van to wash amongst others. Will take a walk along the river - it’ll be a mud bath no doubt but it’s Bdog’s favourite place.Best wishes to all

Good morning
Thank you for the start @ScarletRibbons
Another cold and miserable day, can't wait for spring and warmer days.
Nothing planned, might have a walk if it doesn't rain.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.10 -
Morning all
Dull grey and cold here too at least it’s not raining.
I am off to collect Rob today we are going to meet our friends and go bowling and lunch somewhere it will be nice to see them as we have been busy for a couple of weeks, for those asking if I will still see Rob when he moves the answer is I don’t know I really hope I can as he will need the reassurance that not everything is changing, it’s all down to money and if the funding is there the placement team are working on it atm so hopefully I will hear soon, I would miss him so much if they say no I have had him four days a week for over two years now and he has become a huge part of our lives.
Dinner tonight will be lasagne dd is off so she will make it ready to pop in the oven we can have a salad with it. I have put a wash on this morning which will have to go on the airer.
Nanny I hope you feel better soon xx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning all. Another dull and dreary day here.
@Gers I had my shingles jab yesterday but England has now changed things and we all have to have 2 injections, 6 months apart. Bother; I thought I'd escaped that!
Had a good evening at Morris practice last night, with a couple of dancers being in charge of a dance for the first time and calling the figures. It means you have to be really confident in what you're doing so that you can call for the others in the set.
This morning I'm off to The Community Larder so will see what I come home with. We have a friend staying this weekend so might make a cake and try not to eat it before she arrives! Chicken and veg soup to make for tonight too.
Have a good day everyone.11 -
Morning all - and thanks to @Scarlet for starting us off.My fingers are crossed for Rob @Ruby, he sounds as if he needs some consistent care now.@Nan -sorry that you've been so unwell recently. Rest up a bit. It's half term here @Camelot, no tooting from neighbour.@Chrisca - my wee bulbs are poking up too. Purple crocuses are on the lawn already. Snowdrops are now filling the edges of the wall by the track at the front. They are always a sign of warmer weather to come - I hope that's the same for this year.Good luck with the new drain liner @CoxyThe health check went OK yesterday, I think even though I was a whole hour early! The grey weather must be getting to me, that or old age.
I came straight home and lit the woodburner, it's such a comforting heat.
For a few weeks I've been thinking about a trip to see Penn & Teller at the London Palladium in September and always decided against it. Not a fan of London or the getting around it, especially as my capacity for walking is severely limited. Yesterday my longing to see P&T won over. I came to the conclusion that I'd always regret not going so I looked again. On my first chosen date there was one single seat in the stalls left - seems to have had my name on it. So, booked it. Then booked a Hub hotel which seems to be relatively nearby. Finally I signed up to the U taxi service as my nephew, who uses it a lot, said it's better than the black cabs. All's that's left to book in the train journey. I'm both excited and fraught by it.Today is grey and damp again though the rain may hold off. I've got a GPs appointment this afternoon as I asked the nurse to look at a little problem on my back. She couldn't help so seeing the GP later - I'm 99% certain that it's nothing but best to be sure.I hope that everyone is doing well - hugs to poorlies and poorly family.11 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I think we are all thoroughly fed up now of day after day of grim and grey weather.. What's happened to the cold but sunny winter days we used to have. I suppose another symptom of climate change.
So a day of same old same old looms. I don't know whether I can bear the excitement of it. The furthest I'll be going is to put the wheelie out for tomorrow morning's bin day.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. NAN I hope you soon perk up a bit. DP1 fingers crossed DGD can get back to school soon. CAMELOT the behaviour of the young generation is frightening these days. DF's GDG is a teacher and she despairs of the attitude of some of the kids. No respect at all for the teachers or anyone else in authority. Take care all, stay safe xx
