Sounds like when you made the original claim, UC did not pick up on your disclosure that you part owned a second property. Had they noted the second property at the beginning you would have been asked to complete the A64A form and then a decision maker would have noted a decision in your journal. So they are needing to complete the process now to see if any equity you have in the second property can be ignored and if so for how long. This is important as the decision will inform you about ongoing entitlement to UC while you own the second property. Normally if you have money savings and investments in excess of £16000 you would not be entitled to UCThe comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0

Hi there. I am on here because I am looking for help filling this form in too. They are asking us to do it in retrospect and we do not have the relevant data needed. We haven't claimed for 3 months as my health is now improving and my husband can work and this is a result of a review where they looked at our bank statements. We too declared the 2nd property at the start of the claim and were told it did not affect anything if it wasn't profitable. We are self employed and declared self employed income for the years I was ill. I have a LCW in place.
Does anyone have any advice or help they can helpfully give please?

The form is used to calculate the property value and if then is counted as capital. If you were to sell it tomorrow, how much would you receive after fees, mortgage etc.
In the OPs question, it’s mortgage free but what was the financial agreement with regards to splitting it. Easy if there’s no payment being made and no split eg ex partner gets 100% then remove your name from the property and the whole issue goes away.
UC will also look at if an ex partner is living in the address then they MAY choose to disregard it, and so it has no bearing on your UC claim. But you wont know until the form is completed and assessed.Proud to have dealt with our debtsStarting debt 2005 £65.7K.
