Its at the last stage but there is a charging order on the house that needs to be sorted. Looks like this was issued by a court 10 years ago.
Not quite sure why seller has taken this long to sort it out? Honestly, never seen anything like them.
I'm assuming its just a case of the seller agreeing to pay it off with the house sale proceeds or is there more to it than that?

I think these things are usually sorted when the house is sold so it is down to their solicitor to sort and yours to make sure they do do it0

Well of course but the house sale was agreed last October and only now is it being looked at.....0

Possible it's already been paid but they weren't aware the charge was still to be removed.0

There are sometimes issues with old charges in that the creditor has changed names or sold their business.
Anyway it's their problem to sort out and something that all conveyancers will be familiar with1 -
It's only generally an issue if there isn't sufficient equity in the property to pay the charge.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)1
