DCB Claim Form

Hi,
Apologies if I am asking previously answered questions, I just want to check a couple of things in my specific situation.
On 14/09/24 I stopped for less than 5 min at a petrol station at the East Midlands Airport (notorious petrol station as per the google reviews). I had entered an area behind the station then drove back as if exiting and didn't see any signage to see no parking. I wasn't parking anyway, I stopped temporarily for less than 5 minute to pick a friend up.
As personal lease hirer, they initially sent a PCN to my finance company on 25/09/24, then to me on 11/10/24. Probably my fault, I ignored the PCNs and further debt recovery correspondence from DCB legal as I was under the impression private land parking charges not enforceable.
I received a county court claim form issued on 14/01/25, I will attach their rubbish particulars of claim. I then submitted an AoS on 17/01/25 (sorry I know too quick). I filed my defence online (another mistake, I didn't know until reading the threads on here. In my defence I essentially disputed the charge (which has now risen to £258 including court fees, legal fees and the £70 admin increase on top of the initial £100), because their particulars of claim were not sufficient, there is no evidence of clear signage and I made a counterclaim for lost earnings in trying to research and file my defence.
2 things happened since:
1- a paralegal from DCB emailed me to offer I paid only £200 if I drop my counterclaim and settle (to which I emailed back declining and stating I would be ready to proceed with my defence, but made an offer to settle for no payment and both drop our claims).
2- the same person emailed me (ignoring my counter-offer) and only responding to my online defence with a load of rubbish (including downloaded pictures of the signage - just soft copies not real signs). She also attached their filled DQs and advised they reject my defence and that I would receive request for DQs from the court shortly. She did also offer I call within 7 days to reach a settlement (which I won't do).
I am hard pressed, because I really don't want to pay those money-grabbers, can't afford the charge and don't feel it's fair. However, I don't want my credit score to get affected, and don't want any offences on my record.

You've not redacted VRM on POC. Report it for removal. Redact correctly and repost image.
No risk to your credit score if you follow advice here and court proceedings.
Its not an criminal offence.
There are 12 steps to follow in the Template Defence thread sounds like you're at the step waiting on DQ from the court.2 -

Quick couple of questions:
1- I have been assigned to Derby (where I live) and I work in Nottingham, any benefit of one over the other?
2- I am a doctor so schedule not very easy, any advice on what to put for dates unavailable - because it would most of the time
Thanks0 -

So after having filled all the dates for the following 3 months as per their instructions, they came back with a date after 3 months which I can't make.
And also, DCB going ahead still and claim they have submitted their witness statement. They also keep trying to call me, but I haven't picked up.
I am feeling a bit twitchy.0 -
Email the local court stating the further dates you are unavailable, asking if they can please possibly move the hearing date ( 3 months wasnt long enough, perhaps 6 months these days ), tell them why too
Get your WS submitted if its due ? , ( when is it due ? ) to both parties, court and lawyers
Ignore DCB Legal, no contact1 -
I thought witness statements are due 14 days before hearing, they have asked for it over 2 months in advance.0
