Luton airport - driver revealed

My wife didn't pay the drop-off charge. She had some internet issues and couldn't pay and then forgot to try again later.

She's tried to pay the next day, can't, called me, she knows what comes next. I told her to leave it to me, and that I'll sort it. I said that to her knowing there'd be a template on here somewhere.

In her infinite wisdom, she's now written to APCOA asking for payment methods and revealing herself as the driver in the process.

They obviously won't, and we'll get a PCN, so in preparation for that is it worth the fight given that my POFA defence is up in smoke, or do I just bite the bullet and pay the scammers?

Nobody pays a penny to APCOA. They are benign and don't litigate.

It's OK. You will NEVER pay APCOA.

They won't match up the early contact with a PCN that hadn't been issued.

Wait for the NTK then the keeper appeals.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Update

We received the PCN and it was addressed to my wife rather than me, so they obviously made the link.

I hit them with the copypasta script in my appeal save for the POFA part, and I expanded a little on the most important bit which I'd not considered previously which is that the T's and C's are only on display AFTER entry and are therefore null and void due to not having an opportunity to review and decline.

    The PCN has been cancelled.

Thought it was worth the update to say that even without a POFA appeal, despite my earlier reservations, there's no possible way for them to enforce Ts and Cs you don't have a choice over.

Another win to add to your expansive list @Coupon-mad!
