Wowcher extra charges

Hello all

I bought a Hungarian Goose Feather & Down Duvet from Wowcher. It was priced at £48.25

When I added it to my basket, the price appeared as £53.25

I assumed that this was the P&P added to them

However, when I redeemed the Wowcher the P&P was a further £5.95, making the initial purchase of £48.25, £59.20

I initially contacted the company offering the deal, who stated that they would contact Wowcher for an explanation.

I have yet to hear back.

I contacted Wowcher via WhatsApp.

The replied over several different days that it was inflation, then they claimed it was P&P.

It obviously wasn’t either of these

Wowchers latest response is

Dear Customer,

Please accept our sincere apologies,

We regret to inform you that offer changes due to price fluctuations. As prices are subject to availability, they can sometimes rise or fall. This is a common occurrence with deals and offers”

Can anyone shed any light on what the extra charge might be, as Wowcher doesn’t seem to know!

The retail price increased after the deal with Wowcher was agreed for £48.25.

    Hi.
They are still advertising the duvet for the same price today.
I cannot see how the retail price increases by adding the item to a basket.
Wowcher originally said it was for P&P which was incorrect
Plus the company said that they would contact Wowcher for an explanation.

Does the product page show a section ‘The Fine  Print’.?
When you scroll down does that section state  ‘price is subject to change’?

Different prices for different sizes to start with, so which did you select?

Don't know if they have Dynamic pricing as the double for me shows as £47.07 and King size as £53.25

I think they do as I am sure when I clicked on it, the double was under £47.00.

What a horrible assault on the senses their website is!

£53.25 in the basket for a King here. Not registering to see if that changes as you checkout though.

Their claims in the basket of prices being held for very limited times makes me think of the CPRs.....

Well 51 minutes later and still £53.25 with a new 15 minute counter for the price, very naughty indeed!
