Do I need to get insurance for my mobile phone or does my house insurance cover that?

Think you'll need to look at your house insurance policy0

Only you and your insurer know that answer. Read your policy. The amount of cover is also important, it may cover loss or theft for example, but may not cover accidental damage.

In your home your House insurance will cover it for whatever perils you've selected on your home. You obviously need to be careful of any single item limits which may be lower than the new value of the phone.nigelf1234 said:Do I need to get insurance for my mobile phone or does my house insurance cover that?
Outside the home will depend on if you have included Personal Possessions/ All Risks cover or not, if you have then it may be covered nationally or globally. Again double check single item limits as these can be different to in the home.
One thing Home insurance won't cover is if the phone breaks down (rather than it being stolen or dropped etc) whereas some mobile coverage is also a warranty.0
